Live Christmas Tree Safety Tips
Fresh tress are vibrant and less likely to catch fire. Your tree should not be shredding needles readily.
Keep trees away from any heat source, keep the base filled with water all the time.
Make sure your Christmas lights have no loose plugs or splits in the wires. Be sure to plug into a surge protector than into the wall.
Keep all holiday candles away from the tree.
Bedtime is lights out! Never leave your tree lights on unattended or over night.
When the needles begin to drop it is time to say good-bye until next year.

Betsy's Book Review
THE CHOICE
by Nicholas Sparks
Travis Parker has everything a man could want: a good job, loyal friends, even a waterfront home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life - boating, swimming , and regular barbecues with his good-natured buddies -- he holds the vague conviction that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is, until Gabby Holland moves in next door.
Spanning the eventful years of young love, marriage and family, THE CHOICE ultimately confronts us with the most heart-wrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?
Good book. Held my interest. Very typical of other Sparks books.. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 6
When I tell you that this is the BEST breakfast casserole it is no joke.

salt and pepper
12 eggs
2 C half and half
1 t season salt
1½ C cheddar cheese, grated

Grease a 9x13 inch pan. Add the frozen and shredded potatoes to the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs together. Then add half and half, season salt, cheddar cheese, pepper jack, and chopped ham.
